Cory Knedler is an artist, educator, and a Chair of the Department of Art at the University of South Dakota.
He received his BFA from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas and his MFA from The University of South Dakota in Vermilion, SD. As a printmaker, his works have been exhibited in over 100 shows, including exhibits at the Mid-America Print Conference and the Brussels National Museum in Belgium.
Serve as academic administrator and community voice representing the Department of Art in fiscal, promotional and public relations. Promote growth and opportunities for students and faculty in teaching, research and service in the visual arts. Report to the College of Fine Arts Dean.

Duties include directing graduate assistantship staff in installation, presentation, lighting, framing and storage of permanent collections and monthly exhibitions. Permanent collection consists of Japanese prints and artifacts, Northern Plains tribal arts, African sculptures and masks, Oceanic masks and artifacts, WPA era prints, and Contemporary regional art. Collection valued at $2.5 million.
